Hitōtsū, makōtō nō michi wō mamōrū kōtō
One must be faithful and protect the way of truth.

To cultivate perseverance
and a will for striving.
一、努力の精神を養ること
Hitōtsū, doryōkū no seishinwō yashinrū kōtō
One must develop perseverance or foster the spirit of effort.

To develop a respectful attitude.
一、礼儀を重んずること
Hitōtsū, reigi wō ōmōnzūrū kōtō
One must respect others and the rules of etiquette.

To restrain your physical ability through spiritual attainment.
一、血気の勇を戒むること
Hitōtsū, kekki noyū wō imashimūrū kōtō
One must refrain from violent behavior or guard against impetuous courage.
